Main objectives:
Project management
• Key Project - Sun
• Execute global projects related to production, material management, quality, R&D, ROI-Costing, risk analysis, best process practice sharing
• Manage, track and maintain capital and expense budgets using reporting tools
• Present projects to management and team members
• Negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers
• Research subcontracting sources or suppliers to gain alternative solutions
Lean and Six Sigma
• Conduct lean manufacturing and six sigma training to production personnel and office staff
• Exercise Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action
• Implement Lean improvements in the production environment
• Establish consistent processes and promote and sustain a culture of Continuous Improvement
• Address production constraint areas and propose areas with opportunities for process improvements to reduce cycle time, costs, or physical labor strain
Business or Operational Metrics
• Analyze production findings using Visual Management techniques for both production and office environments
• Establish manufacturing process standardization, best practices between divisions, assist with preparation of Work Instruction Sheets and training
• Develop manufacturing floor layouts based on principles of process flow, ergonomics and production efficiencies
Profile required:
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated project management experience
• 2 – 3 years Project Management experience
• Background in implementing Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles an asset
• Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills
• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Analytical understanding of the various manufacturing processes - assembly, packaging, general machining
• Hands on technical experience in a production environment
• Require Security Assessment and Fingerprinting clearance
